FIRST SEMESTER FIELD TRIP

Field trips are organised visits of teachers and students to immediate or distant places to enrich learning experiences and to further instructional purposes of regular classroom activities.
On 26.02.2024 Monday, we started our trip from college to Vagamon around 4:30am.We teacher trainees gathered the college around 4.10am. We started our dream journey with prayer in a tourist bus "Dorado" with 52 trainees and five teachers including our Principal Meera Raj Ma'am .
The journey to Vagamon was blended with music and dance. We had our breakfast at "Rose Maria Restaurant" at 8.00am. Then we continued our journey to Vagamon. We reached Vagamon Glass Bridge at 10:30am. It is the longest cantilever Glass Bridge at Vagamon. After that we moved to the second destination Pine Forest in Vagamon and reached there at 11.45am.It is a region with acres occupied by magnificent pine trees thriving in the pollution free environment on steep slopes. Around 2.00pm , we reached the third destination point Thangalpara. Nestled on the Thangal hill, Thangalpara in Vagamon is a famous tourist attraction and a holy site of Muslims. There is a rock and a tomb of Shiek Fariuddin at the spot. At 3.00pm we reached Nagaland Restaurant for lunch.By 4:15pm we reached at Mottakkunn, group of bald hills without trees.The park had several adventures such as zipline, sky cycling etc. Around 5:30pm.We left Mottakkunn and went to Parunthanpara and reached at 6:30pm.Parunthanpara is literally known as" Eagle Rock". From here, the mahajyothi of Sabarimala is visible.By 12.15pm the bus reached the last stop of Sabarigiri College of Education.
