As part of our National Service Scheme (NSS) activities, we organized an awareness programme on drug abuse to commemorate the 78th Independence Day, aiming to educate and sensitize the community about the risks and consequences of drug abuse.The drug abuse awareness programme, anchored by Aneeta, commenced with the college choir team's rendition of the NSS song. Santhini led the audience in taking an oath, followed by Aishwarya and Pooja awareness speech on drug usage.Then Dr. Roy our principal began by emphasizing the importance of the day, setting the tone for the event. Mrs.Jaseena, the NSS Programme Officer, took the stage to discuss the perils of drug abuse, providing valuable insights and information.The junior students showcased their talents through a Tablo performance and a group song, joined by their senior counterparts. Students also presented posters highlighting the dangers of drug abuse.Syam presented a video of street play conducted by senior students.A quiz competition, led by Salu, ensued, with two teams from the senior and junior categories each. Jafna and Anjana emerged as the winners.Naseem then shared a thought-provoking presentation, detailing the detrimental consequences of drug usage, including its impact on individuals, families, and society.The event culminated in a rally, raising awareness about drug abuse among the public.
